We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students. Your expertise will facilitate early intervention, behavioral management, and mental health support, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in assessment, counseling, collaboration, and crisis management, contributing significantly to student success and well-being. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive student assessments including psychological testing, behavioral evaluations, social-emotional assessments, and special education diagnostic testing to identify student needs. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans such as behavior management strategies, safety plans, and psychotherapy sessions tailored to diverse student populations. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, special education teams, and other professionals to develop and review Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and support plans. Provide individual and group counseling focused on social-emotional development, mental health concerns, and behavioral challenges. Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support students experiencing emotional or behavioral emergencies. Facilitate early intervention programs for students with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ensuring appropriate educational and behavioral support. Maintain accurate medical documentation, records of psychological testing results, progress notes, and compliance with special education law. Lead or participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate case management efforts for students with complex needs. Provide training or consultation on behavior management techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), conflict management, and social work strategies. Support families through counseling sessions that promote family collaboration in education and reinforce positive student outcomes. Skills Extensive experience working with children across diverse backgrounds in school settings. Proficiency in child & family counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral health practices. Strong knowledge of special education assessments, IEP development, and legal frameworks governing special education law. Skilled in conducting psychological testing including individual psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Expertise in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. Ability to perform social-emotional student assessments and mental health evaluations accurately. Excellent collaboration skills for working effectively with educators, families, healthcare providers, and community resources. Competence in case management, conflict resolution, safety planning, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care documentation within school health records. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail necessary for managing medical records and educational documentation.
