Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our educational team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychological services to students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. Your expertise will help create a safe and inclusive learning environment by conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in school psychology, behavioral health, and special education to promote positive student outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students' needs, including cognitive, behavioral, and emotional testing. Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students with disabilities. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on child and family counseling, social skills development, and behavioral management. Implement crisis intervention strategies and safety plans to address urgent student needs effectively. Offer consultation to educators on behavior management techniques, classroom strategies, and accommodations for students with autism or developmental disabilities. Manage case documentation accurately within medical records systems while adhering to confidentiality standards. Facilitate early intervention programs and coordinate services for students requiring additional support. Develop social-emotional learning programs that promote mental health awareness and resilience. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for students facing behavioral health challenges. Utilize applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques where appropriate to support students with autism spectrum disorder. Manage conflict resolution processes among students or staff as needed. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field; licensure or certification as required by state or local regulations. Proven experience working with children in educational settings, including school experience in diverse environments. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and educational psychology principles. Proficiency in psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, and report writing. Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and patient assessment. Experience working with individuals with disabilities such as autism or developmental delays. Skilled in crisis management, conflict resolution, and safety planning. Ability to conduct individual and group psychotherapy effectively within a school setting. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques for supporting children with autism spectrum disorder. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, educators, healthcare providers, and community resources.
