Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students as a school psychologist working with two vibrant campuses serving grades K-11. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to split your expertise between Midcity (K-5) and Materra (K-11), creating a diverse and engaging professional environment in the greater Baton Rouge area. Your caseload will involve managing approximately 50 evaluations across both campuses, giving you the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with varied needs. As a valued mental health professional, you'll collaborate with educators and families to deliver comprehensive assessments, develop intervention plans, and support positive outcomes for students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification/license as required by state guidelines Proven experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in an educational setting Familiarity with diverse student populations and multi-tiered systems of support Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, administrators, and families Adaptability to serve multiple campuses efficiently and effectively
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, and social-emotional assessments Participate in IEP meetings and develop data-driven recommendations Support students through consultation, intervention planning, and monitoring of academic/behavioral progress Provide crisis intervention and counseling as needed Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements The full-time schedule is crafted to fit your routine, with afternoon interview availability to accommodate your needs.
