Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' academic and emotional growth as a contract School Psychologist in the Port Deposit and Elkton, MD areas. Two positions are available, both serving elementary and middle school populations. The assignment runs from now through mid-June, offering an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative and student-focused environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid MSDE School Psychologist certification required Experience working with both elementary and middle school students preferred Familiarity with psychoeducational evaluations and IEP/504 procedures Willingness to work onsite (in-person is preferred) Strong communication, collaboration, and counseling skillsCore Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments for students (approx. 70 evaluations per year, caseload size may vary) Provide individual and group counseling to identified students as part of their special education support Participate in MTSS meetings, IEP team meetings, and 504 meetings, contributing expertise in assessment and intervention planning Maintain professional documentation in accordance with district and legal standards Work closely with educators, families, and service providers to support student successSchedule/Environment:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Elementary shift: 8:15am - 3:45pm; Secondary shift: 7:30am - 3:00pm School supplies laptop and essential materials for the role Care for students and collaborate with dedicated school staff in a supportive district.
