Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support student well-being and academic success in a school setting located in Oakland, ME. This contract position offers professionals the chance to apply their expertise in psychological assessment, counseling, and collaboration within an educational environment dedicated to fostering positive outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify students' needs and develop individualized support plans. Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create strategies that promote student development and address behavioral or emotional challenges. Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and implementation. Utilize data to track student progress and adjust interventions accordingly. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant state and federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with diverse student populations in K-12 settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
