Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility Master's degree or higher from an accredited program in School Psychology In-depth knowledge of MARSE and IDEA regulations Proficiency in administering a wide range of psychological and educational assessments Experience determining eligibility for special education and Section 504 services Strong communication skills for sharing findings with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to respond effectively during crisis situations

Core Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations in alignment with MARSE and IDEA standards Administer and interpret tests such as cognitive, achievement, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional rating scales Determine student eligibility for special education (SLD, OHI, EI, CI, ASD, and others) and Section 504 accommodations Clearly communicate evaluation results and eligibility decisions to both staff and families Collaborate to create targeted IEP goals, accommodations, and behavior support plans Provide direct intervention during crisis situations, including threat and suicide assessments Participate in Student Support Teams (SSTs) to develop strategies for students facing challenges Support program planning, evaluation, and ongoing professional development activities Empower students to reach their full potential in a supportive and collaborative environment, making a lasting impact throughout the school year.
