9644528-48091 Job Description Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a School Psychologist in the greater Detroit area, working with high school-aged learners across four closely located campuses. Your expertise will serve a varied caseload of roughly 120 special education students, which includes a unique opportunity to provide services within a juvenile justice facility, broadening both your skill set and impact. This position begins ASAP and continues through June 18, 2027. Enjoy moderate, steady hours from 9:00am 2:30pm, totaling 27.5 hours per week, structured to offer a balanced and manageable schedule. As an itinerant provider, your week will include visits to all four campuses, each within 10 minutes of the others.

Key Qualifications:

Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist. Experience working with high school students, preferably within a special education setting. Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying school environments, including secure or juvenile justice facilities. Strong assessment, counseling, and advocacy skills. Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Commitment to supporting academic and behavioral success for diverse student populations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct student assessments and evaluations. Provide direct and consultative services to students as part of the special education team. Develop, implement, and monitor individual education plans (IEPs). Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support emotional, behavioral, and academic needs. Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and behavioral support. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and legal guidelines.
