A rewarding opportunity awaits for a skilled School Psychologist to make a positive impact in a dynamic educational environment near Florissant, MO. This contract role, starting as soon as possible and running through late May 2027, needs an engaged professional committed to supporting K-12 students across two likely assigned campuses. This position thrives on collaboration, assessment, and early intervention, providing essential services through special education evaluations and Child Find initiatives.
Key Qualifications:
Active Missouri Department of Education (MO DOE) School Psychologist certification required Demonstrated experience with K-12 student populations in a public school setting Proficiency in conducting special education evaluations and supporting Child Find practices Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Capacity to manage an average caseload of 8-10 cases, completing approximately 32 cases annually in a full-time setting Willingness to obtain district-required fingerprint clearance and submit necessary technology paperwork promptly
Role Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and contribute to special education eligibility determinations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and educators to promote student well-being and success Deliver both short and long-term support as needed, with flexibility for full-time or part-time schedules Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in alignment with district policies Adhere to all district and state compliance, confidentiality, and best practice standards This full-time, on-site role averages 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible start date. The assignment will most likely take place within the Hazelwood sub-district and can be tailored to include part-time or short-term arrangements should your availability vary.
