Job Description

An opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional to make a difference as an Elementary School Adjustment Counselor for the upcoming school year. Play a pivotal role in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development, working across multiple elementary school sites in a collaborative, student-focused educational environment. This contract position spans from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide responsive and rehabilitative counseling services to elementary students and their families, assisting children to fully participate in the curriculum and school life. Collaborate effectively with educational teams at four elementary schools, allocating work as follows: Franklin (20%), Wheelock (20%), Symonds (30%), Fuller (30%). Develop and implement support plans tailored to individual student needs. Maintain clear and professional communication with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure optimal student support. Document interventions, progress, and participation in a thorough and timely manner.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree and significant experience as a School Social Worker, School Counselor, School Psychologist, or Mental Health clinician in a school setting. Possess or be eligible for New Hampshire certification: School Counselor (NH 0040), School Psychologist (NH 0046), Associate School Psychologist (NH 0047), or School Social Worker (NH 0049). Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in providing age-appropriate mental health services to children.
