Job Description

Part-Time Psychology Instructor Psychology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - ( 26005831 ) The Department of Psychology, within the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh, invites applications for a Part-Time Instructor to teach an online asynchronous course in Topics in
Psychology:
Positive Psychology through the University of Pittsburgh's College of General Studies (CGS) in the Spring 2027 semester, Jan 1 to April 30. The minimum qualifications are a PhD or PsyD in Psychology, Counseling Psychology or a related field, and experience teaching Positive Psychology or demonstrated expertise in the field of Positive Psychology through training, research, or practice. Preference will be given to candidates who have the greatest level of expertise in Positive Psychology; have experience teaching at the undergraduate level; are familiar with learning management systems such as Canvas; reside in the Pittsburgh area and can engage with Psychology faculty in person; and have a proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse undergraduate student audiences, including nontraditional and adult students. The successful candidate will be provided with an online master course shell and will work with a CGS instructional designer to prepare the class for instruction.
