Adult and Pediatric Institute (API) is seeking a part-time Psychometrist to join our autism evaluation team. This is a W-2 position working alongside our Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist/Chief Medical Officer to provide comprehensive autism evaluations. We are looking for a master's-level professional with experience in psychology, behavioral health, special education, developmental disabilities, or a related field who has strong clinical observation and report-writing skills and an interest in neurodevelopmental assessments. Responsibilities The Psychometrist will work collaboratively with our psychiatrist and clinical team to support comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations.

Responsibilities include:

Administering and scoring the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) Administering and scoring additional standardized developmental, behavioral, social, and adaptive assessments as appropriate Gathering relevant developmental and behavioral information from patients and caregivers Documenting clinical and behavioral observations during testing Assisting with the preparation and writing of comprehensive autism evaluation reports Reviewing testing findings and clinical observations with our psychiatrist Collaborating with the evaluation team to ensure assessments provide meaningful diagnostic clarification and recommendations Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications Required:

Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related behavioral, developmental, or educational field Experience with assessment, evaluation, clinical documentation, educational evaluations, or report writing Strong written communication and professional report-writing skills Strong observational and interpersonal skills Experience working with children and families Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team We especially welcome applicants with backgrounds as: Psychometrists or psychology professionals Special Education/ESE teachers School psychology professionals Master's-level behavioral health professionals BCBAs or individuals who are eligible to become a BCBA Professionals with experience in autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodivergent populations Previous experience administering the ADOS-2 is preferred but not required for an otherwise strong candidate. Training can be provided to the right individual.
