This position is ideal for a psychologist who is experienced in psychological testing, has specialized training and experience in autism spectrum disorder assessment, and is also interested in providing individual therapy as part of their clinical role. Psychological testing experience is required. ASD training and ASD testing experience are required. Our intake process is a central part of that support, ensuring that clients are thoughtfully assessed, clinically understood, and matched with the most appropriate provider from the start. Position Overview The Clinical Psychologist will provide psychological evaluations, diagnostic assessments, psychological testing, and individual therapy services for children, adolescents, and/or adults. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent report-writing skills, and the ability to provide thoughtful, comprehensive evaluations that help clients, families, schools, and other providers better understand diagnostic needs and treatment recommendations. In addition to testing, the psychologist will maintain a therapy caseload based on clinical fit, provider interest, and practice needs. Individual therapy may include work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, ASD-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other presenting needs. The psychologist will be responsible for conducting psychological testing, interpreting results, preparing clear and comprehensive reports, providing feedback to clients and families, and delivering ongoing individual therapy services. Experience with ASD evaluations is essential. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic clarification, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, developmental, and/or educational assessment. Provide autism spectrum disorder assessments using appropriate clinical interviews, rating scales, standardized measures, behavioral observations, and diagnostic tools. Administer, score, and interpret psychological testing measures. Complete thorough, timely, and clinically sound written testing reports. Provide feedback sessions to clients, parents, caregivers, and/or referring providers. Develop clear, practical recommendations based on evaluation results. Provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and/or adults based on clinical experience and areas of competency. Develop individualized treatment plans and provide evidence-informed therapeutic interventions. Support clients with concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, ASD, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, family stressors, and life transitions. Maintain an appropriate balance of testing and therapy services based on practice needs and clinician availability. Collaborate with therapists, prescribers, schools, physicians, and other professionals as clinically appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation for both testing and therapy services. Participate in care coordination when needed. Communicate with clients and families in a warm, professional, and clinically appropriate manner. Maintain ethical, legal, and professional standards in accordance with licensing requirements. Follow HIPAA and confidentiality requirements at all times. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or School Psychology from an accredited program. Licensed or license-eligible as a Clinical Psychologist in Illinois. Experience conducting psychological testing is required. ASD training is required. Experience conducting ASD testing and autism evaluations is required. Experience providing individual therapy is required. Strong assessment, diagnostic, therapy, and report-writing skills. Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized psychological assessment tools. Ability to provide clear diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations. Ability to develop treatment plans and provide clinically appropriate individual therapy. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Professional, ethical, reliable, and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently while also participating in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience evaluating and treating children and adolescents. Experience completing school-related evaluations, psychoeducational testing, ADHD evaluations, learning disorder evaluations, mood/anxiety assessments, and diagnostic clarification. Experience using tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R, WISC-V, WAIS-IV/WAIS-V, WIAT, BASC, Conners, Vineland, SRS, or similar assessment measures. Experience providing feedback sessions to parents, caregivers, and adult clients. Experience providing therapy for trauma, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ASD, emotional regulation, and/or family-related concerns. Training in evidence-based therapy modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, TF-CBT, EMDR, or other trauma-informed approaches. Experience working in a group practice, outpatient clinic, hospital, school, or multidisciplinary setting. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is clinically strong, organized, and experienced in psychological testing, with specific training and experience in ASD assessment. They are also comfortable providing individual therapy and are able to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and families. This person should be able to balance clinical warmth with objective assessment, write clear and useful reports, communicate findings in a respectful and understandable way, and provide thoughtful ongoing therapy services. They should be comfortable working with clients and families seeking clarity around autism, ADHD, learning concerns, emotional concerns, behavioral challenges, trauma, anxiety, OCD, or other diagnostic and treatment needs.
