Job Description

Job Summary Aligned Living Psychological Services (ALPS) is growing our psychological assessment services and looking for an experienced psychologist or LPA to join us on a flexible, part-time contract basis. We have strong existing referral demand for autism evaluations across the lifespan and pediatric/young adolescent ADHD evaluations, and are looking for a clinician interested in helping us expand this area of the practice. This is an assessment-only role—consultation, testing, report writing, and feedback—with no therapy caseload or other clinical responsibilities required. ALPS provides the referrals, testing space and materials, scoring resources, EHR, and administrative infrastructure, while clinicians maintain substantial flexibility over their schedule and availability. Compensation is based on a percentage of collected assessment revenue and is expected to average approximately $135-$160 per clinical hour worked at our current fee structure. We envision starting with approximately 2-3 evaluations per month during an initial 6-9 month contract, with the goal of developing the position into a larger and potentially full-time role for the right clinician. Responsibilities Conduct initial assessment consultations to clarify referral questions and determine appropriate testing plans Complete autism evaluations across the lifespan and/or ADHD evaluations with children and younger adolescents, depending on areas of competency Administer and interpret standardized cognitive, behavioral, developmental, executive-functioning, and diagnostic measures as clinically indicated Review relevant medical, educational, psychological, and collateral information Formulate diagnoses and differential diagnoses based on the full assessment data Write comprehensive, practical, and client-centered evaluation reports Conduct feedback sessions and explain findings and recommendations to clients and families Complete assessment-related documentation and reports within agreed-upon timelines Experience Licensed psychologist or independently practicing Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) in North Carolina Established experience conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations Competency in autism assessment across the lifespan and/or ADHD assessment with children and adolescents Experience selecting, administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized psychological measures Strong background in differential diagnosis, particularly among ADHD, autism, anxiety, mood, learning, developmental, and behavioral presentations Experience integrating interview, testing, collateral, and record-review data into clear diagnostic conclusions Strong written communication skills and experience producing high-quality psychological evaluation reports Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with administrative and clinical team members Experience working in outpatient, private practice, hospital, or similar assessment settings preferred
