The ideal candidates will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to small classes (max. 10-15) of middle and high school students, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic growth. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of learners while utilizing your expertise in the subject matter. The role is approximately 3 hours per week this year for the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology and The Psychology of Good & Evil. Harmony Homeschool Academy is a secular hybrid program for homeschool students, ages 10-18, offering in person classes in Cary. Our emphasis is on social-emotional safety and quality academic classes. Duties Prepare and deliver instructional lessons aligned with curriculum standards Facilitate classroom projects to enhance student engagement Assess student progress Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement in a timely manner Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning Collaborate with the school owners and colleagues to develop instructional materials and share best practices Monitor attendance and participation, ensuring students meet requirements Stay current with developments in the subject area and incorporate innovative teaching strategies Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher, or substantial subject expertise, required Master's or Doctoral degree preferred Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Prior teaching or instructional experience preferred Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning environment This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and student success.
