Comprehensivenon-medical counseling services consists of individual, couple, family and groupsessions. ¿Provide services to clients th address emotional problems, behavioral problems, lifestressors, domestic abuse, child abuse, and problemic sexual behaviors in children andyouth (PSB-CY). ¿Conduct psychosocial assessments with individuals, couples and families and makerecommendions for services. Include client in service plan development. Exerciseclinical judgment to apply expertise in conducting initial assessments to mch theclient¿s needs to the most approprie resources. Conduct ongoing risk assessment andconduct immedie safety planning. Report any suspected child abuse and/or domesticabuse as required by policy and manded by law. ¿Facilite psycho-educional groups, classes, and workshops th focus on bothprevention and intervention with child abuse, domestic abuse, and PSB-CY.
Topics mayinclude:
anger management, relionship skill-building, effective and healthycommunicion, and understanding and elimining power and control. ¿Plan, develop, and implement services and initiives designed to foster positive healthyrelionships within the family structure. Develop and maintain professional standards ofservice, community referral resources, and maintain a close network with the clinicalstaff and other service providers. ¿Complete and maintain approprie documention reled to: intake paperwork,screening tools, risk assessments, safety plans, clinical counseling notes, individualizedservice plans, clinical case management, colleral notes, contact details, and otherdocumention as required by FAP policy. ¿Participe in the confidential Clinical Case Staff Meeting (CCSM), which providesclinical recommendions for supportive services, non-medical counseling for victims ofchild abuse, domestic abuse, or PSB-CY, coordined case management including riskassessment, ongoing monitoring of child abuse and domestic abuse victims¿ safety,clinical intervention, and approprie service delivery for alleged abusers who are eligiblefor services the military trement facility. ¿Prepare and participe in the administrive process of the Incident DeterminionCommittee (IDC). Communice the IDC incident stus determinion to commandersand others who have a ¿need to know¿ stus. ¿Provide direct services to include screening, assessment, non-medical counseling, safetyplanning, and referrals with children exhibiting and those impacted by PSB-CY as well asto the family members. Participe in and provide input to the PSB-CY multi-disciplinary team and tend monthly case review meetings. Maintain case records andtrack stistical da in accordance with Limits of Confidentiality, Privacy Act, and higherheadquarters policy. ¿Establish and maintain command and military community relionships. Collaborewith other military agencies to support and meet client needs. Coordine with militaryinvestigive agencies, military and local civilian law enforcement agencies, and civilianchild welfare agencies in response to reports of child abuse incidents. ¿Provide World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assist customersand communice positively in a friendly manner. Take action to solve problems quickly.

Alert the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. ¿Adhere to safety regulions and standards. Use required safety equipment and observesafe work procedures. Promptly report any observed workplace hazards, and any injury,occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to theimmedie supervisor. ¿Adhere to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EqualEmployment Opportunity (EEO) program and prevention of sexual harassment. ¿Perform other reled duties as assigned. This position may require a fluctuing work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours (to include weekends as necessary). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TIER
II and III:
¿A Master¿s or Doctoral-level degree from a college or university with a program nionally accredited in: social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, psychology, or other approprie human service and/or mental health professional degree. ¿Must be able to pass childcare background checks consistent with Marine Corps policy allowing work with children below the age of 18. ¿Highest licensure by a Ste or Nional regulory board th authorizes independent clinical practice th is current, valid, unrestricted and in good standing in least one of the following: clinical social work, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional counselor, or clinical psychologist th meet the DoD requirements. Must provide a photocopy of licensure with their applicion ¿Tier II must have engaged in 2 years, th includes least 2,000 hours, full-time, post-masters supervised clinical experience. ¿Tier III must have engaged in least two years post licensure, th includes least 2,000 hours post licensure or 4,000 hours post gradue degree, full-time clinical experience in a clinical setting. ¿At least two years¿ experience working in the field of child and domestic abuse counseling or trement. Must be able to work effectively with representives of local, county, ste, and federal social services agencies.¿One year experience in or ability to obtain, within 1 year of employment, training in all of the following: PSB-CY, child and adolescent development, and trauma-informed care. ¿Experience counseling a wide range of persons in stressful and potentially high-risksituions. Skills to provide non-medical clinical counseling services to victims of childabuse, domestic abuse, and alleged abusers. Must be skilled in conducting client intaketo include; informed consent, psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, safetyplanning, development of a service plan, and clinical note taking. Experience inproviding services to both military and civilians preferred. ¿Must have knowledge of family structure, dynamics, needs and problems, economic,social, cultural, environmental, and psychological factors in relion to social pterns.

Must have training in child and adolescent development, problemic sexual behavior inchildren and youth, and trauma-informed care. Diagnostic skills in areas ofpsychological phology and psychosocial dynamics. ¿Must have knowledge of civilian and military legal informion pertaining to familyrelionships and laws protecting children and elders. Must have knowledge of theprofessional ethics when working with individuals, couples, groups, children, andfamilies. Working knowledge of the Uniform Code of Military Justice as reled todomestic abuse and child abuse is preferred. ¿Must have strong case management skills to include: maintain accure and timelydocumention of records and case files. Ensure a smooth implemention andcontinuum of care, develop and maintain knowledge of referral sources, collabore andcoordine with other internal departments, outside agencies, and commanders (ifindiced) to ensure th client is receiving the most approprie services. ¿Must be able to serve in an ¿on call¿ duty stus outside of normal work hours thincludes: remaining in a reasonable call back radius, carrying a cell phone, or regularlychecking email to respond to emergencies, remaining in a ste of readiness to performwork with limitions on pursuing outside leisure activities, and/or reporting to adesigned post of duty to be ready to or to perform work. ¿Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required and knowledge ofelectronic case management system is preferred. ¿Knowledge of the military structure and the military environment is preferred. ¿In accordance with Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI) 1402.5, FAP personnelwho provide services to children under 18 years of age subject to a favorableNional Agency Check (NAC) Backgrounds and Security Investigion every five yearsin order to protect the health, safety, and well-being of children. Personnel must undergoan installion records check (IRC), be subject to the additional requirements of the ChildCare Nional Agency Check and Inquiries (CNACI) and the criteria presumptive andautomic disqualificion as specified in section 3 of DoDI 1402.5.
