Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a transformative opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting high school students in a vibrant community near Charleston. This contract role offers the chance to work in a dynamic educational environment, providing essential services that make a lasting impact. The position begins as soon as possible and runs through June 2027, offering full-time hours with a consistent schedule.
Qualifications & Experience:
Hold a valid South Carolina School Psychologist License Experience working with high school-aged students strongly preferred Knowledge of special education law, evaluation processes, and intervention strategies Excellent collaborative and communication skills for working with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Participate in student support team meetings and contribute expertise to the multi-disciplinary team Offer professional development and consultation to staff on best practices in educational psychology Maintain accurate records and ensure all services align with state and federal regulations This opportunity promises a consistent 37.5-hour workweek in a progressive district, just a short drive from historic Charleston.
