Job Description

Immerse yourself in a dynamic school setting, serving as a vital mental health specialist to students across K-12 grade levels. This contract-based opportunity offers a blend of onsite and virtual assignments, making it a great fit for professionals wanting a flexible approach to student support. With multiple positions available, you'll have the unique chance to choose your preference between an elementary/high school split caseload or focusing solely on elementary students. Caseload sizes are to be determined, ensuring thoughtful matching to your skills and interests.
What You'll Do:
Deliver comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions for K-12 students in a school environment. Collaborate with educators, counselors, families, and administrators to develop and monitor individualized education and behavior intervention plans. Rotate between multiple schools as an itinerant school psychologist, providing coverage and support where it's needed most. Provide direct and indirect services through both onsite and virtual (VOCO) platforms, enhancing your professional versatility. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and act as a resource for mental health and educational strategies. Maintain accurate confidential records and documentation according to district, state, and federal guidelines.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active Tennessee Psychologist license (required). Previous K-12 school-based experience strongly preferred. Skilled in psychoeducational assessments, IEP team participation, and counseling/interventions. Adaptable to working across various age groups and school sites. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Comfortable with both on-site and virtual (VOCO) work formats.
