Ideal candidates will possess:
A master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field. Valid and current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist. Experience working in K-12 educational settings, with knowledge of special education laws and processes. Strong assessment, consultation, and report-writing skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families. Empathy, excellent communication abilities, and strong organizational skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
Conducting psychological and academic evaluations for students referred for services. Collaborating with educators, administrators, and parents to develop appropriate interventions and educational plans. Providing direct counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support as needed. Supporting the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Participating in Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes. Maintaining accurate records and reporting in compliance with school and state guidelines.
