Job Description

Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Diagnostics, Psychology or a related field, active Educational Diagnostician license, and 1+ years Educational Diagnostician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school district in Whitehouse, TX is seeking a dedicated Educational Diagnostician for the 2025-2026 school year. This W-2 contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with students to assess their educational needs and support the development of appropriate learning plans. The role requires an in-person presence and involves a 37.5-hour work week, providing both direct and indirect services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to identify students' learning strengths and challenges Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs (IEPs) Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations to support student learning outcomes Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation within established timelines Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with school staff and families
Qualifications:
Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician Experience in school-based assessment and special education evaluation Strong understanding of federal and state regulations regarding special education Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
