Regional Coordinator - Services for Persons who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened or Deafblind Are you a behavioral health clinician fluent in American Sign Language who wants to expand access to culturally and linguistically responsive mental health services? Valley Community Services Board is seeking a Regional Coordinator for Services for Persons who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened or Deafblind . This specialized clinical position provides counseling, assessment, consultation, and advocacy while helping strengthen behavioral health services for individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, or Deafblind and their families. In this role, you'll provide direct clinical services while also partnering with Community Services Boards, schools, behavioral health professionals, and community organizations throughout the region. You'll have the opportunity to identify unmet behavioral health needs, develop responsive programs and services, and provide clinical consultation to professionals serving this population. What You'll Do As Regional Coordinator, you'll combine direct clinical practice with regional coordination, consultation, and community engagement.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct intake interviews, clinical assessments, and evaluations to identify behavioral health needs and appropriate services. Provide individual, marital, and family therapy to individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, or Deafblind and their families. Provide regular clinical assessment and therapy services at the Virginia School for the Deaf . Provide clinical services and consultation to Community Services Boards and behavioral health partners throughout the region, including services provided through established regional agreements. Consult with clinical staff working with individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, or Deafblind. Identify behavioral health and service needs within the community and develop programs and activities responsive to those needs. Partner with regional service providers to strengthen communication access and culturally responsive behavioral health services . Coordinate American Sign Language interpreter requests for Valley CSB. Participate in regional and interagency teams focused on service development, coordination, education, and advocacy. Engage with individuals and community organizations to better understand emerging needs and opportunities to improve services. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related human services field. Licensed or license-eligible through the Virginia Department of Health Professions , including LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCP, or applicable Resident/Supervisee status. Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), both expressively and receptively. Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Active professional licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCP in Virginia. Knowledge of, sensitivity to, and/or lived experience with Deaf Culture , demonstrated through culturally and linguistically responsive interactions and service delivery. Experience providing mental health and/or substance use counseling. Knowledge of the behavioral health implications of deafness and approaches to providing effective therapy to individuals who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened, or Deafblind. Experience with clinical assessment, crisis intervention, diagnosis, treatment planning, and behavioral health services. Experience developing and maintaining partnerships across agencies and diverse communities. Strong skills in advocacy, program development, consultation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently, establish priorities, exercise sound professional judgment, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
