Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact on students' educational journeys by providing critical psychological support and guidance across all grade levels as a district-wide school psychologist. This contract role, extending from late August through mid-June, offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in four buildings, ensuring every student from kindergarten to high school receives the support they need for success.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop effective intervention strategies Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments for all students Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) and 504 plans Participate in multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress and recommend adjustments to interventions when needed Offer crisis intervention, consultation, and recommendations regarding student support services Support staff training and professional development related to mental health and behavioral interventions

Qualifications & Experience:

Active Vermont School Psychologist Certificate required Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and special education processes Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school buildings Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive environments for all students This is a full-time contract (35-37.5 hours per week) spanning the academic year.
