1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT (T) certification and 2+ years of experience for an acute care Level 3 trauma facility offering a 13-week day shift assignment. Details Acute care setting within a Level 3 trauma facility Radiation Therapy unit Days schedule, Monday through Thursday 7am-4pm and Friday 7am-noon 40 hours per week guaranteed Uses Varian 21iX Linear Accelerator and Pinnacle treatment planning software Uses Mosaiq and Allscripts EMR systems Mosaiq used for record and verify No cancellations permitted Requirements Current AZ State CTT Radiation Therapist certification required (license required if applicable) BLS certification (AHA) ARRT (T) certification for Radiation Therapist licensure Minimum 2 years of experience required Experience with IMRT field QA and 3D compensator mounting Ability to perform conventional and CT simulations Ability to fabricate immobilization devices and custom blocking Heavy physical demands including lifting up to 50-100 lbs, constant standing, and repetitive motions Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues (OSHA Category 1) Additional Information Administer external beam radiation therapy according to physician prescriptions Perform daily linear accelerator and simulator start-up procedures and morning QA Document treatment details and report deviations to the director or physicist Prepare patients for treatment and communicate setup deviations to physicians Interact with dosimetry team to retrieve DRRs, calculations, and treatment plans Perform weekly portal imaging or IGRT and weekly chart checks Assist physicians during on-treatment visits Participate in chart rounds and tumor boards Order and maintain inventory and supply stock Practice radiation safety protocols and report equipment malfunctions Maintain patient appointment times within 5 minutes of scheduled slots
