1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with an active California CRT license and 1+ year of experience for a hospital radiation oncology department utilizing advanced treatment technology. Details Hospital-based Radiation Oncology setting Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Uses Varian TrueBeam and VitalBeam accelerators, Varisource/HDR, CT Simulator, Simulation workstation, and Aria Treatment Planning System Uses Epic for electronic documentation Candidates will float within the hospital based on census Requirements Current CRT license in the State of California required if applicable Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy Current BLS certification Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist required Epic charting experience required Technical knowledge of department and ancillary equipment including Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning system preferred Skilled in CT simulation, tumor localization, treatment planning, dose calculation, and external beam therapy including IMRT Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE Ability to use lift/transfer devices Additional Information Perform CT simulation, tumor localization, and treatment planning for radiation therapy patients Deliver external beam therapy including IMRT and utilize beam modifying/positioning techniques Participate in rapid response/code team protocols as needed Pre-approved time off must be submitted with candidate profile and cannot be added afterward Local candidates accepted at a lower rate One professional reference required within the past 2 years Previous permanent staff members are not eligible for this position
