1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist for an outpatient radiation oncology center, requiring ARRT(T) certification and 2+ years of experience in a busy treatment facility. Details Adult outpatient radiation oncology setting Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 12:00pm-8:30pm No weekend or on-call requirements May float to sister facility approximately 11.7 miles away Treats a range of conditions including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer, gynecomastia, keloids, Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, kidney cancer, and pancreatic cancer Utilizes TrueBeam treatment units and Varian Vision/ARIA record & verify systems Performs external beam therapy, IMRT, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), CT simulation, and CBCT/kV/mV imaging Requirements ARRT(T) certification required BLS certification (AHA) required License required if applicable Minimum 2 years of experience required Experience in a busy facility with ability to handle high patient workflow required TrueBeam experience required Experience with treatment simulation and pretreatment procedures Additional Information Responsibilities include treatment delivery, beam modifying/positioning, radiation safety, and billing for treatment types and devices Grey or steel scrub color required Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during certain weeks No blocked scheduling requests permitted First-time travelers accepted as long as required experience and skills are met Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered for local billing rate Candidates previously employed by the health system or its affiliates may be subject to eligibility review
