Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join our medical team. The Radiation Therapist plays a vital role in delivering precise radiation treatments to patients, supporting their journey through cancer care and other medical conditions. This position requires a strong understanding of advanced radiation therapy techniques and the ability to operate sophisticated medical equipment with accuracy and compassion. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with physicians, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Administer external beam radiation therapy using linear accelerators, ensuring accurate delivery according to prescribed treatment plans. Perform CT simulation procedures to assist in treatment planning and patient positioning. Utilize image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) techniques to enhance treatment precision and adapt to patient anatomy changes. Implement intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) techniques for complex cases requiring targeted dose distribution. Operate and maintain advanced medical software systems for treatment planning, documentation, and quality assurance. Monitor patient condition during treatment sessions, providing support and addressing any immediate concerns. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on imaging results and clinical assessments. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, radiation safety standards, and institutional policies throughout all procedures. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered, equipment calibration, and patient responses. Requirements Certification or licensure as a Radiation Therapist in accordance with local regulatory standards. Proven experience operating linear accelerators for external beam radiation therapy. Proficiency in performing CT simulation procedures for treatment planning purposes. Knowledge of advanced radiation techniques such as IGRT and IMRT. Familiarity with medical software used for treatment planning, documentation, and quality assurance processes. Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and patient care standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with healthcare teams and support patients throughout their treatment process. Attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
