Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join a highly respected Radiation Oncology team. In this role, you will administer radiation treatments prescribed by physicians while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and treatment accuracy. The Radiation Therapist works closely with oncologists, physicists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive cancer care. About the Department Our Radiation Oncology Program is accredited by the American College of Radiology and features advanced technology, including: Three Linear Accelerators (including Tomotherapy) CT Simulator High Dose Rate Brachytherapy Unit Exam Rooms and Patient Support Areas The program provides radiation therapy services to cancer patients of all ages, with many patients receiving treatment for breast, lung, and prostate cancer.
Services include:
External Beam Radiation Therapy Low and High Dose Rate Brachytherapy Stereotactic Radiosurgery Total Body Irradiation Sedation and Analgesia Support as Needed Responsibilities Administer radiation treatments according to physician orders and treatment plans. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate treatment delivery. Operate radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and simulators. Monitor patients throughout treatments and report concerns to the care team. Maintain documentation and treatment records. Follow radiation safety guidelines and departmental protocols. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Minimum Qualifications Education, Certification & Licensure Current Hawaii State Radiation Therapist License Current CPR Certification at the Healthcare Provider level Experience Previous Radiation Therapist experience preferred Physical Requirements Frequent standing and walking Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Reaching, gripping, and repetitive hand/arm movements Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Working Conditions Exposure to radiation, body fluids, communicable diseases, and mechanical/electrical equipment Fast-paced oncology setting focused on delivering high-quality patient care Apply Today Join an accredited Radiation Oncology program and make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients while working with advanced technology and a collaborative healthcare team. #IndeedT1
