Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in Radiation Therapy. This position involves working with advanced equipment, including Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery, to deliver high-quality care to patients receiving radiation treatments.
Schedule:
13-week assignment Monday to Friday, daytime shifts (5 x 8-hour shifts) 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist Proficiency with Varian Truebeam and GE Discovery systems Exceptional attention to safety protocols and patient care standards Ability to manage a patient volume of approximately 22-24 treatments per day Current licensure as required for practice
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians Collaborate closely with oncologists, medical physicists, and other allied health professionals to ensure precise treatment planning and delivery Monitor patient reactions and provide supportive care throughout the treatment process Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with facility and regulatory policies Ensure the safe, efficient operation of radiation therapy equipment through regular quality checks and adherence to maintenance protocols Foster a compassionate, reassuring environment for patients undergoing therapy This assignment offers the ability to gain further experience working with leading technology in a supportive clinical environment. You'll be integral to the patient care team, helping ensure individuals receive the most effective and safe treatment possible.
