1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with MA license and 1+ year experience for a hospital radiation oncology department using advanced linear accelerator technology. Details Hospital-based Radiation Therapist role primarily working on linear accelerators Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM No weekend or holiday shifts required Primarily assigned to University campus with potential floating to Memorial, Fitchburg, and Marlborough locations Uses ARIA for treatment planning and charting Treatment units include TrueBeam, Varian 21ex/ix, Varian Trilogy, and Vision RT Treats a range of conditions including benign brain tumors, craniospinal, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, and stereotactic radiosurgery Requirements MA Radiation Therapist license required if applicable Current BLS and ARRT (T) certification required Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist TrueBeam Linear Accelerator experience preferred Skilled in CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT simulation, and beam modifying/positioning Knowledge of radiation safety practices and treatment billing procedures Additional Information Responsibilities include pretreatment planning, simulation of treatment sites, and delivering external beam therapy Scrubs or business casual attire with lab coat required Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system before reassignment Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
