Traveler Requirements:

Graduate of an approved radiation therapy technology program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy. Current state certification for Medical Radiation Technologist. Experience with Elekta or Mosaiq is preferred. One to three years clinical experience in all modalities as a radiation therapist, through an accredited radiation program. Work requires interpersonal skills to deal effectively with Oncology patients for up to eighty percent of work time. Computer skills for treatment machines. Ability to read and interpret patient images and make correct decisions on such.

Responsibilities:

Assist in localizing tumors and participate in treatment planning. Deliver high doses of ionizing radiation prescribed by the radiation oncologist. Serve as the primary liaison between patients and the radiation oncology team. Provide communication links to other healthcare providers such as social workers and dieticians.
