Unity Radiation Therapy Center, Inc. is hiring a Radiation Therapist in Fridley, MN. This is a full-time position. Minneapolis Radiation Oncology (MRO) has an opening for a 0.5 benefit-eligible Float Radiation Therapist RT(T) at our busy Unity RTC in Fridley, Minnesota. This Float R(T)T position will cover up to 8 clinics in the Twin Cities metro area. MRO owns and operates clinics using Varian equipment with Aria EMR and Elekta equipment with Mosaic EMR. This role has the opportunity to train and learn at multiple clinics on a variety of machines, dependent on how many hours are available to work per week. DUTIES:

Deliver or ensure the delivery of the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy. Observe patient for reactions and events, reports same to nursing staff and/or physician. Assists with emergency procedures as required. Actively participate in patient education. Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel. Maintain supplies for assigned areas as needed. Participate in quality control checks of equipment, including machine warm-up, and report erratic operation to Lead Tech or Radiation Physicist when malfunctions occur. Maintain patient records and charts and perform weekly chart checks. Collect dosimetry information for computer planning. Use best efforts to ensure accurate documentation of treatment delivered and consistent directions and treatment information for future reference. Cooperate with all personnel in proper conduct of department. Help maintain professional standards of technical staff. Actively participate in development of new techniques. Perform accurate, well-planned simulations.
