Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team in Marshall, Missouri. The Radiation Therapist works closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to safely and accurately deliver prescribed radiation treatments to patients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to working with patients throughout their cancer treatment. Key Responsibilities Provide radiation treatments according to the radiation oncologist's prescribed treatment plan. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and associated treatment systems. Position and immobilize patients accurately to ensure precise treatment delivery. Verify patient identity, treatment site, treatment parameters, and prescribed dose before each treatment. Perform imaging and treatment verification procedures as required. Monitor patients throughout treatment and communicate concerns or changes in condition to the radiation oncology team. Explain treatment procedures to patients and answer questions regarding the treatment process. Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the course of radiation therapy. Maintain accurate and timely treatment records and documentation. Work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other members of the oncology team. Follow established radiation safety procedures and departmental protocols. Participate in quality assurance and safety initiatives. Recognize and respond appropriately to treatment-related complications or emergencies. Maintain knowledge of current radiation therapy technology, procedures, and best practices. Assist with equipment quality control and report equipment problems promptly. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program. Certification and registration through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy (RT(T)) preferred/required according to state and facility requirements. State licensure as required. Strong knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, treatment planning, and radiation safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise treatment protocols. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary oncology team. $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
