Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy required Valid, current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist Previous clinical experience in radiation therapy is highly preferred Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency with treatment planning systems and radiation safety protocols Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary oncology team
Key Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed radiation treatments to patients in accordance with physician directives and established protocols Operate and maintain linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment Accurately position patients to ensure precise delivery of radiation doses Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient documentation Monitor and report patient reactions, providing compassionate support throughout treatment Collaborate with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and oncologists to deliver optimal care Adhere strictly to safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure
