Hackettstown, New Jersey Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to accurately and safely deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments while operating advanced treatment and simulation equipment. The therapist will work closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and the radiation oncology team to ensure high-quality, precise, and patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with LINAC treatments, CT simulation, IGRT, SBRT, respiratory gating, MOSAIQ, and radiation safety procedures . Key Responsibilities Radiation Treatment Delivery Accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments according to treatment plans and department protocols. Safely and effectively operate radiation treatment units with minimal supervision. Maintain continuous visual and audible communication with patients during treatment. Perform

IGRT, SBRT

treatments, and portal imaging accurately. Perform daily LINAC and CT quality assurance (QA) and monthly CT QA as required. Safely operate CT-on-rails equipment for IGRT delivery. Perform IGRT procedures across various treatment sites. Complete electronic IGRT documentation and shift-tracking assessments in

MOSAIQ. CT

Simulation & Treatment Planning Support Perform CT simulations according to departmental and site-specific protocols. Construct appropriate patient immobilization devices. Safely administer and utilize IV contrast for simulation when required. Perform respiratory gating and AcQ simulation . Utilize simulation equipment for SBRT treatments. Construct electron and Cerrobend blocks when necessary. Complete appropriate billing for special devices and simulation procedures. Complete procedure verification assessments in MOSAIQ before beginning simulations. Lead CT Therapist Responsibilities When functioning as

Lead CT Therapist:

Train radiation therapists in CT simulation procedures.

Provide training on:

AcQ simulation Respiratory gating CT and lap-laser QA Mould room duties SBRT simulation Ensure required physician forms are downloaded and available for completion. MOSAIQ & Treatment Management Maintain and verify daily treatment information in MOSAIQ , including: Treatment calendars Patient schedules Prescriptions Patient photographs DRRs Portal imaging Verify physics and physician treatment-planning parameters. Attend weekly chart rounds. Access McKesson for inpatient transportation needs when required. Complete and review information included in Quality Check Lists. Patient Safety & Radiation Protection Follow all departmental policies, procedures, and safety standards. Apply the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure. Follow appropriate body mechanics and safely utilize equipment such as slide boards and ceiling lifts. Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures for the department and individual treatment equipment. Immediately report equipment malfunctions or treatment-related concerns to the appropriate physician, lead therapist, manager, and physicist. Documentation & Quality Control Maintain accurate daily treatment records and other required documentation. Review prescriptions, setup instructions, patient information, and treatment records daily. Accurately document daily treatment plan monitor units in the patient's chart. Recognize changes in treatment plans and appropriately implement and document modifications. Maintain accurate and complete patient treatment records in accordance with departmental requirements. Required Qualifications Successful completion of an approved Radiation Therapy program . ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy required. Strong knowledge of radiation therapy treatment procedures and patient safety. Experience with radiation treatment equipment and simulation systems. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and patient safety. Pay:

$55.00 - $60.00 per hour Application Question(s): Successful completion of an approved Radiation Therapy program. ARRT certification and registration in Radiation Therapy required. Are you comfortable working the Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM OR 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM? Are you able to work onsite in Hackettstown, NJ 07840? Are you available for a 3-5 month contract assignment with the possibility of extension? Do you have experience using the Epic EMR system?
