1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification for a hospital Radiation Oncology department utilizing advanced treatment modalities. Details Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department Day shift schedule, 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday 37.5 hours per week May float to sister hospital as needed No on-call requirements Uses MOSAIQ for treatment management, charting, and record verification Uses EPIC for charting IMRT, 3D, SRS, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT experience strongly preferred Requirements Successful completion of an approved Radiation Therapy program ARRT certified and registered Active NJ license required if applicable Experience with
IGRT, CT
simulation, and portal imaging Knowledge of immobilization device construction and simulation equipment Understanding of respiratory gating and AcQ simulation techniques Ability to safely operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery Proper use of body mechanics equipment such as slide boards and ceiling lifts Additional Information Deliver planned radiation therapy treatments while maintaining visual and audible patient communication Perform daily linac and CT QA along with monthly CT QA Construct electron and cerrobend blocks as needed Attend weekly chart rounds and maintain treatment documentation Adhere to department dress code and safety standards, including ALARA principles for radiation protection Report equipment malfunctions to appropriate physician, lead therapist, manager, or physicist Local candidates accepted Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date before requiring a break
