Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy - Radiation Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver advanced patient care as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to oncology teams by performing critical radiation therapy procedures. You'll support patient treatment plans and work alongside physicians and medical staff to ensure effective, compassionate care.
Key Qualifications:
Current registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT certification required) Practical experience operating linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment Proficiency in treatment planning systems and understanding of radiation safety guidelines Ability to follow physician instructions and detailed protocols with precision Excellent interpersonal skills to provide comfort and clear communication to patients Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately record and maintain patient records CPR/BLS certification preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer prescribed doses of radiation as directed by physicians Prepare patients for procedures, explaining processes and addressing concerns Calibrate and operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively Monitor patient reactions during and after treatments, reporting any side effects or complications Maintain thorough documentation and assist with quality assurance checks Work collaboratively with oncology teams in delivering coordinated, high-standard care Observe strict protocols for radiation protection for both patients and staff This is a contract-based position, ideal for a motivated, licensed Radiation Therapist ready to make a positive impact on patient outcomes in an oncology environment.
