Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students with mild to severe needs. This full-time role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:45 PM, beginning August 10, 2026. Situated near the scenic Lamy, NM area, you'll play a pivotal part in fostering academic and social growth for students in grades 6-8. Your role will focus on individualized instruction and creating inclusive classroom experiences, collaborating closely with colleagues and families. As a valued educator, you'll ensure each student's unique abilities and learning styles are recognized and nurtured.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid credentials as a Special Education Teacher Experience with middle school (grades 6-8) populations, across mild to severe caseloads Medicaid NCI # required Strong communication and classroom management skills Collaborative mindset for working with a multidisciplinary team Successful completion of a background check
Responsibilities:
