Delivers an accurate planned course of radiotherapy while keeping accurate treatment records. Provides patient care and exercises professional judgment in treatment delivery. Applies radiation protection principle known as ALARA. Participates in the departmental QA program and patient follow-up. Duties & Responsibilities Delivers planned course of radiotherapy accurately. Apply principles of basic radiation physics, radiation interaction and radiation protection. Verify physician prescribed course of radiation therapy. Operates therapeutic equipment and maintains patient records. Practices aseptic techniques when necessary. Observes clinical progress of patients and reports any signs of complications to the radiation oncology nurse. Assists oncologist as needed. Qualifications Currently certified by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. ARRT Radiation Therapy Certification. Benefits • Medical Insurance & Wellness Offerings.
