In this contract role, you will play a vital part in ensuring safe, precise radiation treatment for oncology patients, leveraging your technical proficiency and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification and licensure as a Radiation Therapist (RTT) Proven experience operating Varian equipment and using ARIA software systems Strong foundational skills in patient assessment, positioning, and dose calculation Attention to detail and ability to follow stringent safety protocols Compassionate interpersonal communication with patients and multidisciplinary teams Flexibility and adaptability to new environments and patient needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer advanced radiation therapy treatments according to oncologist protocols Set up and verify accurate patient positioning prior to each session Operate Varian linear accelerators and maintain accurate electronic records through ARIA Monitor patient responses during procedures, providing reassurance and support Collaborate closely with medical physicists, dosimetrists, and other clinicians to deliver coordinated care Maintain compliance with facility and regulatory guidelines for safety, documentation, and confidentiality Ensure proper handling, storage, and maintenance of therapy equipment
