BLS required, 2 years' experience, ARRT and VA State licenseRadiation TherapistPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Radiation Therapist to provide safe and accurate radiation treatments to patients undergoing cancer therapy. The Radiation Therapist will operate treatment equipment, position patients, monitor treatments, and collaborate with the oncology team.
Responsibilities Prepare and position patients accurately for radiation therapy. Administer prescribed radiation treatments according to established treatment plans. Operate and monitor linear accelerators and other radiation therapy equipment. Verify treatment plans, patient information, and treatment parameters before delivery. Monitor patients during treatments and report changes or adverse reactions. Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation. Follow radiation safety, infection control, and patient safety protocols. Perform equipment quality checks and report technical issues as appropriate. Provide patients with treatment information, support, and instructions. Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field from an accredited program. Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or equivalent credential as applicable. Current state license or registration as required. Previous radiation therapy experience preferred. Strong knowledge of radiation safety, treatment procedures, and patient positioning. Excellent technical, communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
