Job Description

Category Radiation Therapy Job Type Contract Deliver vital, compassionate care to oncology patients as a skilled Radiation Therapist. This contract opportunity involves collaborating closely with the radiation oncology team to ensure precise and effective treatment delivery within a supportive and technologically advanced environment. You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment including Truebeam and Halcyon systems and utilize Aria for record and verify processes.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (5x8-hour shifts)
Key Qualifications:
Active Virginia Radiation Therapist license (must be in hand for consideration) Proven experience with Radiation Therapy equipment and procedures Familiarity with Truebeam and Halcyon linear accelerators Proficiency with Aria record/verify system Ability to assist with Brachytherapy procedures Understanding of treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry Strong critical thinking skills for triaging patients and collaborating with clinical staff
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver daily radiation treatments in line with physician prescriptions and oncologist guidance Accurately interpret treatment plans and ensure safe, high-quality patient care Perform patient simulations and support students during clinical instruction Assist in complex procedures, including brachytherapy and treatment planning activities Monitor patient responses, triage those with greater needs, and refer to nursing when necessary Maintain accurate documentation and uphold facility safety protocols
