Baptist Memorial Health seeks a Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a faith-based, patient-centered environment. In this on-site role, you will prepare and position patients, operate digital radiography equipment, and ensure images meet radiologist and clinical standards while following strict radiation safety and infection-control protocols. You'll document exams in the EMR, collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members, and support compassionate care for diverse patients across the Mid-South. Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced diagnostic radiologic procedures following physician orders and safety protocols Prepare patients by explaining procedures, positioning, and ensuring comfort and privacy Operate and maintain radiology imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly Verify patient identity, review medical history, and ensure accurate imaging documentation in the EMRFollow ALARA principles, using appropriate shielding and radiation safety practices Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinicians to support timely diagnosis and care plans Evaluate image quality and repeat images when necessary to meet diagnostic standards Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards in accordance with hospital policy Adhere to Baptist Memorial Health's faith-based, patient-centered service and teamwork values Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Diagnostic radiography (X-ray) positioning and technique Operation of digital radiography and fluoroscopy systems Radiation safety and dose optimization (ALARA) Patient care and clinical assessment for imaging readiness PACS and EMR documentation Infection prevention and control in imaging settings Anatomy and radiographic pathology recognition Contrast administration support and monitoring Critical thinking and troubleshooting imaging issues Interdisciplinary communication in a clinical environment
