Join Flagstaff Bone & Joint as an MRI Technologist and become part of a respected, physician-owned orthopedic practice where advanced imaging, compassionate patient care, and teamwork come together every day. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic MRI exams in a supportive outpatient setting, helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit. We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented technologist who takes pride in safety, image quality, and creating a positive patient experience—and who wants to be part of a collaborative team that values clinical excellence, professionalism, and meaningful work.
Type:
EITHER Full-time, 40 hours per week; or Part-time, less than 30 hours per week
Schedule:
TBD Responsibilities include: Perform safety screenings to identify contraindications that could be hazardous in a magnetic field Start IV lines and administer contrast agents as directed by physician protocols Manage a high level of X-Ray and MRI patient volume every day Greet and escort patients from clinic room to X-ray or MRI room Prepare patients by confirming images/scan to be taken, explain details of the process to alleviate anxiety Quality assurance - inspect images to determine they meet FBJ requirements Documents and patient records must be maintained including medical history, consent forms, imaging parameters, and contrast (if MRI) Maintain equipment and examination room and keep inventory of related supplies Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment by inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislations, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management of needed actions Maintain a safe clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Other projects/duties as directed
Requirements:
To work as an MRI technologist with Flagstaff Bone and Joint, you need a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MRI training program, and national certification .
