Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated PET/CT Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our advanced imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain sophisticated medical imaging equipment, including Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Computed Tomography (CT), and Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) scanners. Your expertise will facilitate accurate diagnostic evaluations by performing complex imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to radiation safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of nuclear medicine, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to deliver exceptional patient care and precise imaging results.

Prepare patients for PET/CT scans by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort Operate GE PET/CT, and

scanners with technical proficiency to acquire high-quality images Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients and staff Perform Diagnostic CT scans for bone density assessments as needed Insert IV lines accurately for radiotracer administration and contrast delivery Monitor patients during imaging procedures, providing compassionate care throughout Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) Ensure proper functioning of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to support diagnostic evaluation Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and radiation safety practices Requirements Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) or equivalent licensure Proven experience operating PET/CT scanners, SPECT equipment, and related medical imaging devices Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and implementing safety protocols effectively Proficiency in performing DEXA scans, PET scans, CT scans, and other diagnostic imaging techniques Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles Ability to insert IVs skillfully and manage contrast media administration Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation Basic life support (BLS) certification required for patient safety during procedures Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients about procedures clearly Demonstrated technical proficiency in operating complex medical imaging equipment If you are committed to advancing patient care through precise imaging technology and compassionate service, we invite you to apply today.
