The Radiologic Technologist will provide fluoroscopic imaging support during procedures and work closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This position is ideal for a Rad Tech who is comfortable operating a C-arm in a procedural or surgical environment and understands radiation safety and sterile technique. Responsibilities Operate C-arm fluoroscopy and radiographic imaging equipment during surgical and interventional procedures. Position the C-arm and obtain appropriate images based on physician direction. Produce clear, diagnostic-quality images while minimizing unnecessary radiation exposure. Properly position patients while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Assist physicians and surgical staff during procedures requiring fluoroscopic guidance. Follow radiation safety principles, including ALARA , and utilize appropriate shielding and protective equipment. Maintain awareness of the sterile field and follow appropriate sterile technique while positioning and operating imaging equipment. Perform required equipment safety and operational checks before use. Ensure imaging equipment is clean, functional, and ready for scheduled procedures. Properly clean and disinfect the C-arm and associated equipment between patients in accordance with facility infection prevention policies. Maintain required imaging and radiation safety documentation. Accurately document procedures and imaging services as required. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Assist with maintaining radiation safety supplies, protective equipment, and required records. Follow facility policies, OSHA requirements, infection prevention standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. Work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, anesthesia providers, and other members of the surgical team. Assist with efficient room turnover and patient flow as appropriate. Perform other duties within the Radiologic Technologist's scope of practice as assigned. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT certification/registration preferred or required as applicable. Current Arizona certification/licensure required as applicable to the imaging services performed. Current BLS certification . Previous experience operating a C-arm required or strongly preferred . Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, operating room, pain management, orthopedic, spine, or interventional procedure setting preferred . Knowledge of radiation safety and ALARA principles. Understanding of sterile technique and infection prevention practices. Ability to work independently and respond efficiently to physician imaging requests during procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and patient-safety skills. Reliable, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a surgical team. Preferred Experience Experience providing fluoroscopic support for pain management, spine, orthopedic, or other interventional procedures is highly desirable.
