$42.00+ per hour Job Type PRN / As Needed Outpatient Imaging / On-Site About the Position We are seeking an experienced and dependable Mammography Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team on a PRN basis. Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to physician orders and established protocols. Obtain high-quality diagnostic images using proper positioning, compression, and technique. Perform routine and specialized mammography views as required. Perform or assist with 2D and 3D/tomosynthesis mammography examinations. Review patient history and relevant breast health information prior to examinations. Explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate care throughout the patient's visit. Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and dignity during all procedures. Evaluate images for positioning, exposure, and diagnostic quality. Repeat images when necessary to ensure optimal diagnostic quality. Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles at all times. Maintain accurate documentation in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems. Perform required quality-control procedures according to department standards. Maintain clean, safe, and properly functioning equipment and work areas. Communicate technical concerns and equipment issues appropriately. Maintain efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient environment. Work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Provide professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process. QualificationsRequired ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M). Current state licensure, where required. Current CPR/BLS certification. Knowledge of mammography positioning, compression, breast anatomy, and radiation safety. Knowledge of screening and diagnostic mammography protocols. Experience with digital mammography systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and patient-care skills. Ability to safely position and assist patients in a clinical environment. Preferred 1+ year of mammography experience. Outpatient or ambulatory imaging experience. Experience with 3D/tomosynthesis mammography. Experience with Hologic, GE, Siemens, or other digital mammography equipment. Experience with diagnostic breast imaging or breast biopsy procedures. Experience working in a high-volume outpatient imaging environment.
