Job Description
MRI Tech - Encinitas Scripps Health United States, California, Encinitas Sep 02, 2026 Description Hire Incentive available up to $4,000 for those who qualify. This is a full-time position (80 hours per pay period) working varied 8-hour shifts, primarily day shift; however, flexibility to cover PM and overnight shifts may be required. The role requires scheduling flexibility throughout the week, including weekends, holidays, and participation in the on-call rotation with staff. This position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas is a 173-bed acute care facility in coastal north county San Diego and is home to notable specialty programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program). Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- ARRT(MR), ARMRIT, or CRT
- Completion of a venipuncture class. Certificate must be provided at the time of application; 10 successful sticks must be completed within 30 days of hire.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Completion of a formal training/educational program from an approved school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent education and experience in radiologic imaging obtained through a hospital-based training program or other formalized on-the-job training program, combined with current licensure/certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly preferred: 5-10 years of experience as an MRI Technician
- Cardiac MRI experience
- Experience working with multiple pacemaker programmers
- Experience performing MRI scans on patients with MRI Conditional pacemakers
- Experience scanning patients with other implanted electronic devices, including neurostimulators
- Experience reviewing implanted device documentation and identifying MRI conditions and requirements
- Experience appropriately clearing implanted devices for MRI scheduling in accordance with established protocols
- Strong background in MRI safety; MRSO certification preferred
- Experience working with Siemens and Tesla MRI scanners
