Experienced Dog Groomer / Pet Stylist Employment type: Part-time or full-time available Typical schedule: Approximately 30-40 hours per week, generally 4-5 days per weekScheduling:
Flexible scheduling based on grooming appointments and business needsShifts:
Morning and afternoon shifts; specific days and hours can be discussed Weekend availability: Preferred Core Responsibilities Perform full-service grooming for dogs of various breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments Provide professional bathing, drying, brushing, de-shedding, clipping, scissoring, trimming, and finishing services Safely and calmly handle nervous, anxious, senior, or difficult dogs Complete grooming appointments efficiently while maintaining excellent quality and attention to detail Evaluate each pet's coat, condition, and grooming needs and communicate recommendations to clients Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary, and safe grooming environment Monitor pets for signs of stress, injury, or health concerns and report issues appropriately Follow Alcala Pet Resort grooming standards, safety procedures, and operating policies Communicate professionally and courteously with pet parents and coworkers Provide excellent customer service and help build long-term client relationships Ideal Candidate Has professional dog-grooming experience and can independently complete full-service grooms Demonstrates strong animal-handling skills and knowledge of animal behavior Is experienced with multiple breeds, coat types, and grooming styles Is reliable, punctual, organized, safety-conscious, and productive Has excellent customer service and communication skills Maintains consistent grooming quality while working efficiently Brings a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a family-owned business Candidates with specialized grooming skills, an established clientele, or a strong production history are especially encouraged to apply What We Offer $20-$25 hourly base pay plus 25% commission on grooming sales 100% of tips retained by the groomer Employee discount 401(k) Health insurance Flexible scheduling Potential compensation adjustments for exceptional experience, skills, productivity, or client relationshipsPay:
