West Point Medical Center is a busy and growing medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. We are currently seeking a Part-Time Limited X-Ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care.

Position Summary:

This dual role includes performing limited radiographic imaging and assisting with clinical and administrative duties. The candidate must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and patient safety.

Schedule:

Part-time approximately 20-32 hours per week This is for evenings 5pm to 8:30pm Monday through Fridays and Weekends 10am to 6pm, Occasional coverage when primary Tech is off.

Key Responsibilities:

Limited X-Ray Tech Duties:

Perform limited scope radiographic exams following physician orders and safety guidelines and staying within the realm of your license Ensure proper patient positioning and equipment use Maintain radiology logs and comply with state/federal regulations Maintain and calibrate X-ray equipment as needed

Medical Assistant Duties:

Room patients, take vital signs, and document medical histories Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments Administer medications and injections (if permitted by certification) Perform basic lab tests and collect specimens Manage patient flow, scheduling, and charting in the EMR system Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and support general office operations

Qualifications:

Current Limited X-Ray License in Chest, Extremities and Torso-Skeletal — required (Skull a plus) Certified Medical Assistant — preferred Current CPR/BLS certification Minimum of 1 year of clinical or X-ray experience (preferred), but new graduates are welcome to apply. Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, and HIPAA compliance Excellent communication and multitasking skills Friendly, professional demeanor and commitment to patient care
