Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a full time Radiology Technician at the Federal Correctional Institution, FCI Herlong. Key Responsibilities Prepare and position patients correctly on the X-ray table to obtain the requested diagnostic images. Operate radiographic equipment while adjusting settings for optimal image quality. Practice radiation protection techniques, including using lead aprons and shields, to ensure patient and staff safety. Evaluate completed radiographs for technical quality before submitting them to the Radiologist. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure imaging equipment is calibrated and functioning properly. Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked imaging room. Qualifications and Skills Associate degree or certificate program in Radiologic Technology. Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Valid state license or certification to practice radiologic technology. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety standards. Strong technical skills and a reassuring bedside manner.
