Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Xray Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Operate radiologic imaging equipment including X-ray, CT, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, and nuclear medicine procedures with precision and adherence to radiation safety protocols. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes, positioning them correctly, and ensuring comfort throughout the examination. Implement aseptic techniques and maintain sterile environments during interventional radiology and other invasive procedures. Assist physicians during diagnostic evaluations such as interventional radiography, emergency room imaging, and trauma center procedures, including Level I and Level II trauma settings. Maintain detailed documentation of imaging procedures, patient records, and equipment calibration logs in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure all radiologic equipment is operated safely and efficiently while adhering to radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure risks for patients and staff. Support patient care activities by monitoring vital signs, providing post-procedure instructions, and addressing patient concerns with professionalism and empathy. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate diagnostic information that guides effective treatment plans across emergency medicine, urgent care, and specialized radiology services. Qualifications Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, fluoroscopy units, mammography devices, DEXA scanners, PET scans, and nuclear medicine systems. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate imaging interpretation. Prior experience in emergency room settings, urgent care or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols in clinical environments. Demonstrated ability to perform interventional radiography procedures within interventional radiology departments or similar settings. Knowledge of medical equipment operation combined with aseptic technique application during invasive procedures. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout diagnostic processes. Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT or equivalent) is required; additional certifications in sonography or mammography are a plus. A valid CRT or RT is required.
